~photo of the day - June 6th: hat...

Today's photo prompt was "hat".  Here is the ~made by marie~ take on that prompt (thanks to pinterest or some other web site for the idea & to boo boo who actually put it all together for the BBQ guests to enjoy!!)...

Mortar Board Hats: use 1 small peanut butter cup, 1 crispy crunch square (or an After Eight mint patty, but could not find them this time of year!), a mini M&M, and some yellow icing, per hat.  Stick the peanut butter cup to the square treat with a small dob of icing.  Then with the fine tip on the icing bag, "draw" a thin line with the icing for the tassles, including a small dot in center.  Push the mini M&M into the dot of icing to stick it to top of mortar board!  We chose to use the M&M & icing in school colors, but you could use brown M&M's too.  I also saw a similar idea where the tassel was made out of the thin black licorice laces, but to me this was easier!
